Simple Pumps, Schmiple Pumps
I am wearing these shoes today ...
... and can I just say that even with 5" heels and a 0.5" platform (so heel is actually 4.5"), these are easily the most comfortable pair of heels I currently own. They even rival my flip-flops and sports shoes for comfort. Seriously, I don't know what Mr. Louboutin is doing, but my feet are in love with him.

Snow, schmow
It snowed last night. And I mean, it SNOWED. I think we got about 5-6 inches, mostly between 5-9 am this morning. OK, so this isn't exactly what they ae used to everyday during the winter months in Denver or Chicago, but it's pretty exciting for us wussies in the northern Virginia area. All schools are closed, government offices offered liberal leave to employees, the federal government opened two hours late, and I am working from home not only because the schools are closed, but also because the losers who are supposed to plow our neighborhood streets have not made an appearance yet.
Check it out ... the first real snowfall in the DC area in the past few years ...

Update, Schmupdate
What happened? I got lost there for about a month of so. But I'm back. With an update.
The Tingster is out of her cast. She got fitted with a walking cast in late January and hobbled about on that for a few weeks. Here are pics of her in that giant cast:
And then last week, we went back to the doctor and he told her to stop using the walking cast altogether. So on Wednesday, February 25, for the first time in more than two months, she was able to put shoes on both feet and went on her merry way to school, a-limping and a-tripping. But she was so proud of herself.
I'll be sure to post pics of her wearing two shoes soon. That, and pics of her feet. The difference between the "old" foot and the "new" foot is amazing. It's incredible that we couldn't tell something was wrong with how her feet are shaped.
